More treasures from the extraordinary collection of Pierre Vérité will go under the hammer at Christie's Paris this month.  Beginning in the 1930s, Pierre and Suzanne Vérité amassed a phenomenal number of tribal artifacts from Oceania, Africa and Asia at their gallery which became the go-to spot for the Parisian Avant Garde from Picasso to Leger.

The last sale from the Vérité collection over a decade ago smashed all records, raising €44 million. Given the growing popularity of tribal works of art, this latest hoard is sure to break the record again. Really worth a good look at the catalogue - we are assured that these are the last pieces in the family vaults...
